Now is the time to take control of your health.

This isn’t rocket science, but it is a science.  It’s eating better and exercising smarter.

This time of year is the time when people start thinking about getting ‘back in shape’ for the new year.

Well, why wait?  Why not get started right now?

Exercise doesn’t have to be complicated and either does nutrition.

I recently watched an amazing movie, called “Food Matters.”  If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend you check it out.

It’s a very powerful film about how poorly most people eat.  Let’s face it, most people don’t eat nutritionally dense food.

I know it’s a challenge.  With all of the quick fix meals available and today’s busy lifestyle, it’s almost a job to eat well.

Well, you know what?  That’s the price we pay to live in peak health and to have a fit, powerful body.  If you want it, you can get it, it’s that simple.

It comes down to educating yourself and then taking the right actions to get the goals, the level of health, and the body you want.  Education and action, that’s really what it comes down to.

I’m a big fan of the Paleo nutrition or Primal eating philosophy.  Lean meats, lots of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, and healthy fats.  That’s the primal diet in a nutshell.  It’s worked for me and it’s totally sustainable. Sustainability is key.

The time is now to get in your best shape.  Right now.

Exercise?  For the best fitness training, strengthening, and total body conditioning, the kettlebell is the premier fitness tool.  I’ve said this for quite some time now, but still so many people haven’t found this out for themselves yet.

With kettlebells, you can get in phenomenal shape just by doing kettlebell swings and turkish get ups alone.

Body weight training is another great option.  I believe any person could be in great shape just by doing a program of push-ups, planks, squats, and pull ups.  If you did nothing else but those 4 exercises, you’d be in great shape.

Again, exercise doesn’t have to be complicated.

Better nutrition.

Smarter exercise.

One step at a time.  One meal at a time.  One exercise at a time.  Why wait until after the Holidays when you can start to lay the foundation to peak health and fitness right now?

No matter where you are, you can always improve your health.

Either you’re looking to lose weight and get back to “normal” or you’re already in pretty good shape and you want to get to the next level.  I think most people are in one of those two situations.

I’m excited right now to elevate my health and get in even better shape, starting right now and I hope you are too.

Don’t do what most people do and wait until after the Holidays, I challenge you to start now.

Pick up a kettlebell, eat better, drink more water, and check out “Food Matters” for some education and inspiration!

Just a little rant, but I’m serious, the time is NOW!
