WHY I WANTED TO OFFER THESE CLINICS

TO MOTIVATED ATHLETES?


After coaching and training people for more than 30 years, I wanted to offer the opportunity to improve on-field performance because our kids need to learn HOW TO RUN and MOVE SAFELY.


With my background as Physical Therapist, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and Certified Speed Coach, I know how to address the "gaps" in training that aren't being provided by the mainstream fitness approach.


So, I wanted to put together a small group training experience and offer my expertise to motivated youth athletes to improve speed, agility, athleticism, and more.


Our clinics will be limited to a small group players to ensure proper coach-to-athlete ratios.

*ACL Prevention Is Essential!

The Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) is a devastating knee injury that occurs frequently in sports.


Research has shown that FEMALE athletes are up to 9 times more likely to tear the ACL in non-contact injuries versus MALE athletes. (SOURCE) and ACL injury is prevalent in field sports.


Our training emphasizes core strength, balance, and proper landing techniques, including a dynamic warm-up for each of its three phases. 


The bottom line is that training today MUST emphasize and integrate ACL prevention programming.

WHEN & WHERE ARE THESE CLINICS?

  • Clinics are conducted once (or twice) per month - either SUNDAYS or FRIDAY EVENINGS (Sunday AM or later day - OR Fridays at 6 PM).
  • Training will be "on the fields" at a local Park in the Parkland area (Enter your email to get specific location)
  • If you can't make a clinic, you can use your "clinic pass" at another time that works for you (the next Sunday or Friday clinic)

WHAT IS THE COST?


The value of each clinic is $75.00 per session because this type of cutting-edge training is virtually non-existent in the market place.


But I'm offering this at discounted rate, so you won't pay a high price.


The Weekend Speed Clinic Package is offered at just $250.00 for 10 sessions (*that's $25 per session).


Each session, the athlete will receive a "punch card" for easy tracking (for me and for you).


This covers the comprehensive 90-minute training and performance clinic, player assessment, specific training progressions, the most up-to-date training drills for speed and agility, PLUS a valuable "train on your own" program plan following the clinic.

FAQ's (PLEASE READ):


HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SPEED TRAINING?


This is much different. 


This is a comprehensive and systematic approach to speed and agility that is also built on a foundation of strength and movement skills.


This isn't just a bunch of common drills and activities randomly put together.


This is a strategic, progressive, individualistic training approach to help each unique athlete excel on the field.


Because of my background as a physical therapist, strength coach, and more than 30 years of experience, I can 100% guarantee that there is nothing else like this offered.


This is designed to be much more than speed training.


I teach skills to empower the athletes, so they learn what good movement is (to improve performance & reduce injury risk).


WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR THE CLINICS?


Athletes should bring water, a towel, and wear appropriate clothing for training. Also, cleats are strongly recommended for running and cutting on the field to minimize slipping. Lacrosse players are encouraged to bring lacrosse sticks for running drills.


Here's what's needed:


  • Water
  • Towel
  • Training apparel
  • Lacrosse sticks (for running drills)
  • Cleats or turf shoes (*strongly recommended)


HOW LONG IS EACH CLINIC?


Each clinic will be 90 minutes and we will begin promptly at the start time. Each training session will begin with a dynamic warm-up and progress accordingly with the training plan for that day. It is highly recommended that athletes arrive a few minutes early so that we can start promptly.


We will try not to exceed 90-minutes.


WHAT IF THERE IS INCLEMENT WEATHER?


If there is inclement weather and a CLINIC is cancelled, we will make-up the clinics as soon as possible. You can use your "clinic pass" for the next scheduled clinic that works for you.


Decisions on weather will be made at a minimum of one hour before a scheduled session (at the latest and sooner, if possible). ​


If a clinic is cancelled due to weather, I will have a make-up date scheduled as soon as possible. 


WHAT IF I CANNOT MAKE A CLINIC AND I HAVE ALREADY PAID?


Please notify me via email or text in advance so that I know who cannot make a specific clinic. We will start promptly at the start time and I don't want to hold up the group waiting for an athlete. 


If an athlete cannot make a clinic, it will be at the discretion of the instructor to allow for a make-up.


Please do your best to attend a clinic once you have registered.


WHAT IS THE EXPECTED OUTCOME?


Strength, speed and skill development is an on-going process.


It is important to understand that training and peak performance is truly a long-term process, however, there should be notable benefits, improved confidence, and deeper knowledge of sports training and athleticism, even after attending one clinic session.


Knowledge is POWER and my goal is to empower these athletes.


Athletes will move better and demonstrate improved running, jumping, and agility biomechanics.


Athletes will also have a much better understanding of human movement and running mechanics that will help them to reduce their risk for injury.
